Help test Crowd Beam on Android.
The app is done and in closed testing. Google wants real testers before it can go on the Play Store — that is what this is. Free, and the same app as the iPhone one.
-
Join the testers group
Use the same Google account to register for the beta that you have signed in on your phone. You will be asked to sign in. A non-Google address can't join at all.
-
Open the opt-in link
Same account. This is the step that gets you the app — the group only makes you eligible.
-
Install from Play
The opt-in page has the link. After that it updates like any app.
-
Just use it
Use it like you normally would. Whoever you are meeting doesn't need to be a tester: it works with anyone on iPhone, with another tester on Android, or with anyone at all who has a browser — your link opens as a full-screen beacon on their phone, no app needed.
If Play says it is not available
Usually the wrong Google account: phones often hold a different one than you joined with. Otherwise your membership has not reached Play yet — give it an hour and open the link again.
What this collects
Nothing here. There is no form on this page and nothing is sent to us, and the app itself has no accounts and stores no personal information. What it does hold is a short read.
Joining the group and installing from Play are between you and Google, under their terms. When the closed beta ends the group is deleted, and no addresses from it are kept.
Leaving
Open the opt-in link and choose to leave, then leave the group.
