Crowd Beam

Find each other in a crowd.

One of you shares a link. The other opens it. Each phone lights up in its own colour, chosen so the two can never be confused, and pulses in time with the other. Hold it high and look for theirs.

No account, no sign-up, nothing to leave behind. A pairing lives for at most six hours and then it is gone.

The app adds what a web page cannot: a much brighter screen, the flashlight as a second light, a buzz when the other person nudges you, and a button on the side of your phone that says I'm here without unlocking it.

Crowd Beam is coming to the App Store. Until then an invitation link still works in a browser: the page itself becomes your beacon.
